Welcome to Kaunas

The 4th annual conference of the Baltic Economic Association is jointly hosted by the Bank of Lithuania and Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).

We are pleased to invite paper submissions for the 4th Baltic Economic Conference that will take place on June 27–28, 2022 at Kaunas University of Technology in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Keynote speaker: Kaivan Munshi (Yale University) “Economic Development and Entrepreneurship: The Chinese Experience”

Award for the best paper presented by a PhD student

There will be an award in the sum of EUR 500 for the best paper presented by a PhD student. The candidates for the award are not limited to the Baltic region (neither in terms of institution nor nationality), but the following rules apply:

• paper is presented at the conference

• all authors of the paper are doctoral students or researchers having defended their thesis in 2021/2022.

The Best PhD Student Award was granted to Triinu Tapver (TalTech School of Business and Governance, Estonia) for the publication "Luck and Skill in the Performance of Global Equity Funds in Central and Eastern Europe“.
